John Traill is a prominent conductor, composer, and educator. His work ranges from international performances, recordings, and commissions, to lecturing at both the University of Oxford and the Royal Welsh College of Music. An energetic and friendly musician, John values musical endeavours at all levels and he fervently promotes music for all. As Director of Music at St. Anne's College, Oxford, he also co-ordinates performances and outreach programmes alongside his core conducting portfolio.
John is working on a joint collaboration with Deborah Pritchard, creating a new orchestration of Brahms German Requiem, for the Manchester Camerata. Ben Gernon will conduct the first performance, with the Manchester Camerata, at the Lichfield Festival, on 1st July 2016.
