*1-Day Course*: ‘Conductors Working in Education’, Saturday 21st February 2015, 10.00-5.00pm

Sheldonian Theatre and Mary Ogilvie Lecture Theatre, St. Anne’s College, 56 Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6HS

Description: Come and watch John Traill conduct the Oxford Philomusica in a 2hr workshop of compositions by students at the University Oxford (this event is free to all), followed by a 4hr afternoon course for conductors.  Attendance at the morning session is optional, and not part of the enrolment fee.  The afternoon session will comprise interactive lectures on technique and interpretation, seminars on rehearsal strategy, and an opportunity to connect with contemporaries.  This is particularly suitable for conductors in primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors. All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation.

[Level:  beginner, intermediate, advanced. Instrumental and Vocal]

Enrolment: £65 (1.00-5.00pm)

Tea and Coffee provided. Lunch independent.
